Will County Swearing In Ceremony

This morning, it was an honor to attend the historic swearing in ceremony for the Will County Board and constitutional officers. First of all, Will County Clerk Lauren Staley-Ferry made history by being the first Democratic Clerk in 80 years. Board member Denise Winfrey also made history as being the first woman to be Will County Board Speaker, as elected by her peers. Fellow veteran Amanda Koch will take her seat as one of the representative from District 2. Laurie Summers was re-elected representing Eastern Will from District 1. I extend my hearty congratulations to all sworn in today; many of whom I’ve known and worked with over the years. I pledge my support to help them make this new chapter in Will County government an ambitious and fruitful one for all residents.
